SALVACION (SALLY) CADIGAL December 29, 1932- June 15, 2004 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and sister, Sally Cadigal. After difficult battles with cancer, Sally passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 71, on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at the Fort Garry Care Centre. Sally was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Flor; parents, Maria Adeva and Delfin Lachica, Sr. and sister Connie Nobleza. She is survived by her daughters, Agnes Pagtakhan (Arnel) of Winnipeg and Lourdes Gaultier (Denis) of Thunder Bay; sons, Jake (Carol) of Winnipeg, Joseph (Nancy) and John, both of Montreal; grandchildren, Grace, Gabrielle, Adrian and Nicholas; brother Delfin Lachica, Jr. of the Philippines and numerous relatives in Canada, the United States and the Philippines. Sally was born in Silay City, Philippines on December 29, 1932. She graduated from the Philippine Normal School and the University of Manitoba with Bachelor of Education degrees. Sally taught for over 20 years in the Philippines at Nazareth School and the Lourdes School where she met her future husband. She came to Canada with her family in 1976 and taught at Tyndall Park School for over 10 years. A very special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Fort Garry Care Centre for the compassionate and wonderful care they extended to Sally and her family. At Sallys request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., with Fr. Gerry Ward officiating. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Autism Society of Manitoba, 820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1R9; CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9; or a charity of your choice.
